Nanga Parbat 8125m Expedition , 2010 ( North East Ridge)

A team of Environmental Mountaineers have organized a plan to summit the world famous mountain, Nanga Parbat, which known as nacked mountain and located in Gilgit Baltistan region.

This environment friendly expedition has been organized for the first time in the history of mountaineering in Gilgit Baltistan.

The prime purpose of this expedition is:

1. To give environmental awareness to local, national as well as foreign Trekkers/mountaineers.
2. To keep this sheer perpendicular high and wild mountain clean from its base camp to snow covered peak.

The professional climbers after surmounting the summit while climbing down will collect all leftover garbage and carry it down for proper disposal. This scattered junk may be i.e tents, pitons, ice screws, tins and ropes etc. Which affect the beauty and purity of these gigantic mountains?

In addition, the expedition team will also organize a free medical camp. The purpose of this medical camp would be to meet any emergency faced by the expedition team. Apart from this, during their stay at base camp for the period, doctors and Para medical staff will examine the local patients/trekkers and treat them free of cost.

Participation of women climbers in expeditions may need be encouraged as to make climbing a gender balanced activity. This will enhance equity and equality of women folk in activities of such a magnitude.
